Why photo’s are important..

I’ve started to bring my camera to as many family events as possible to capture some form of documentation of us all ‘growing up’. I think it’s so important to capture moments like these (as well as live them) because they are so fleeting. With what I do as a job(s), I get such little time with my big mad family. I’m either on the road touring or taking photos somewhere of someone or something. Every time I actually get to spend time with my niece and nephews they have changed so much, so the images become such a great time stamp in all of our lives.

Strangely when I capture images like this though, it never feels like work. There is no pressure on me to nail focus, exposure or any of the technical stuff. All I’m trying to do is capture a feeling, a moment, I didn’t even need to take my proper camera out for this. I could have captured images on my phone … but lets face it the camera is just more fun for me. #Nerd
